Jose began working with children as a high school tutor while attending the University of California, Riverside. There he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. He plans to continue his education and receive his Master degree.
Jose enjoys working with children and adults on the autism spectrum. He has worked with clients in a variety of settings such as the home, the clinic, and in the community. His focus with his clients and their parents is to help support growth in behavioral and daily living skills in order to promote his clients’ independence. Jose is trained in applied behavior analysis, discrete trial training, and picture exchange communication systems.
His interests outside of work include traveling and spending time with family. He is a big fan of sports and his favorite teams include the LA Lakers and Miami Dolphins. He loves all types of music and has been musically trained since grade school through college. During his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching movies, and reading up on the newest neuroscience research.
