Join the Team at Autism Behavior Services, Inc. in Alameda, CA as an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT)!

Founded in 2010 by Dr. Rosa Patterson, Autism Behavior Services, Inc. sought to provide top level care with the best technicians and clinicians in the Alameda County area. To make this a reality, Dr. Patterson mixed virtual and “in the field” training so that ABSI’s team members would be able to support clients across any situation they faced. Dr. Patterson wanted to create a culture where team members would view working there as a chance to have a rewarding career. ABSI makes every effort to provide new opportunities and career expanding roles to team members as they become available.
As a Behavior Technician with ABSI you will be able to provide crucial services to the people you support. What you bring into the home, classroom, community, and even a telehealth setting will allow you to impact the lives of everyone you come into contact with. Additionally, we give families a variety of choices so that they can decide which environments best meet the needs of their loved ones receiving therapy.
ABSI also believes in supporting team members outside of the work they do. To that end we host multiple company sponsored events throughout the year. We seek team member input so that these events can meet the interests of those attending. Additionally, Autism Behavior Services, Inc. encourages family members and loved ones to take part in our company events.

ABSI has one of the strongest training curricula that focus on stringent ABAT requirements. In order to meet the busy schedules of our candidates, our training is set up to be completed online. ABAT candidate’s work through a series of behavioral modules, and what you learn is merged with “in the field experience”.
This comes in the form of overlapping with clients under the guidance of a Behavior Technician already working in the field. Additionally, experienced clinicians will oversee you regarding the best practices of your role as an ABAT, and, in the process, collaborate to prepare you to work with clients of your own.
After your Behavior Technician training is complete, you will be awarded a certificate from TBU FOR QABA. The standards for TBU for QABA meet the stringent requirements of ABAT certification. You can be confident that what you’ve learned will put you in a position to work with clients as a Behavior Technician.
Your first ABAT exam attempt is covered by Autism Behavior Services, Inc.. In addition to study materials that ABSI offers, you will be able to discuss what you have learned with clinicians and other ABATs. This will allow you to disseminate information and spot any study areas where you might need assistance.
Are you looking to make an impact in the community you live in? As an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician with Autism Behavior Services, Inc. (ABSI) you can help the lives of individuals and families in Alameda County! In the role of a behavior technician you will be afforded the opportunity to impact the lives of the clients you support. Behavior Technicians play a crucial role in supporting their clients by helping them attain life skills and achieve greater levels of independence. The tools you impart will be generalized and used throughout their daily lives.
ABSI strives to promote team members from within. Many team members have started as ABAT’s and then moved into behavior specialist, behavior analyst, and clinical positions. Others have gone on to careers in education and psychology.
We also offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to our team members. The units you study will help ensure that we are keeping up with the trends of the industry, and at the same time help make your career advancement a reality.
