Autism Behavior Services, Inc. is pleased to offer assessment of your child.

The following assessments are available:

A Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is a process of gathering and analyzing data in an effort to determine what function an exhibited behavior may be serving for a child. A comprehensive report is developed, providing a treatment plan to address behavioral excesses and skill deficits. This assessment can be funded through commercial insurance plans, Medicaid plans, and school districts.

This is a specific assessment that compares the overall development and skills to neurotypical individuals. Some areas that are assessed are communication, social interactions, adaptive skills, etc. This is at times also included in the Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).

This assessment is specific to the social development of an individual. The assessment evaluates the social interaction and level of communication of the individual in comparison to neurotypical peers. A comprehensive report is developed with goals to improve the individual’s social skills. This assessment can be completed independently or as part of the Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).

The assessments may include informal methods, formal/standardized methods, and/or a combination of both. These assessments will include direct observation across multiple environments, including home, school, and community.

The IEE is a Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) specific to the educational setting. These assessments can be requested by a school district or family when there is disagreement between the parties regarding the school district’s own FBA assessment. The IEE may be funded by the school district or privately depending on the situation to bring an independent evaluation for the student.

The Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations are specifically used to determine whether a person presents with symptoms of an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These assessments may be conducted for individuals of all ages. The assessments can be funded through insurance carriers or privately.
