Autism Behavior Services, Inc.’s Commitment to the Safety and Well-Being of Our Employees And Clients During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the events surrounding the global pandemic of COVID-19, there has been an increased number of challenges bestowed upon us in our everyday lives. Balancing work, home-schooling, and family while complying with regulations set forth by our state and local authorities, has undoubtedly created stressors that are difficult to manage. ABSI is here to assure you that we are committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and clients during this time.

ABSI is a provider of behavioral health services, specifically Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA. During these unprecedented times, these services are certified as an essential service. As a result, ABSI can continue to provide behavioral health in-home services both in person on a case by case basis or via telehealth. ABSI follows the recommended guidelines set forth by the CDC. If any party is feeling ill or has been ill within the past two weeks, all in-person sessions are suspended and may not resume until a medical doctor provides clearance for the affected individual to resume work or services. ABSI staff are provided with disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. It is further recommended that employees use gloves and wear a face mask during sessions and when interacting with clients. ABSI will reimburse a reasonable amount staff spends for any PPPs purchased by them for work with their clients.

In order to minimize exposure to all parties, ABSI utilizes telehealth for the majority of their 1:1 ABA and program supervision sessions. This advancement in technology allows ABSI employees and clients to provide and receive healthcare services via the use of live, interactive virtual means. By providing telehealth services, ABSI can provide continuity of care remotely. Providing these services remotely, when in person sessions are not possible, allows the maintenance of vital skills learned by our clients and minimize the regression of those skills.

Due to the high demand for ABA services, ABSI continues to onboard employees, while keeping their safety at the forefront. ABSI has moved in-person classroom educational operations to a web-based format. Trainees can join our robust training process from the comfort and safety of their homes. ABSI believes in setting employees up for success. Therefore, we have constructed our web-based training programs to be as impactful as our in-person training.

ABSI is committed to providing high quality behavioral health services. In order to do so the company’s administrative infrastructure has had to also remain intact. The ABSI administrative team has been and continues to work from their homes. ABSI has equipped them with the necessary tools they need to do so successfully. In doing so ABSI can continue to operate and serve their clients without disruption

It is our hope that during this uncertain time you, your family, and loved ones are safe and well. Should you have additional questions for the ABSI team, please feel free to reach out to our human resources department.

With Gratitude,

The ABSI Team
