Behavior Technician - Paid Training ABAT RBT

🕚 Part-Time Morning/Afternoon/Evenings shifts available M-F, MWF, or TTHSat

💳 Starting rate: $20/h (More info)

40 hours paid training in alignment with ABAT (Applied Behavior Analysis Technician)/RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Board Requirements.

▶ After successfully completing the 40 hours of paid training, candidates will receive a certificate of completion from The Behavior University (TBU) that fulfills the ABAT/RBT training requirements.

🌟 In addition to that candidates will complete fieldwork toward their certification requirements:

▶ The 40 hours of paid training fulfills the requirement for the candidate to sit for the RBT/ABAT Exams. The certification exam is paid for by ABSI. (note - this is for the first attempt)

▶ Overlap with team members providing hands-on experience to ensure success after getting certified as an ABAT or RBT.

Who We are

Autism Behavior Services, Inc. (ABSI) was founded by Dr. Rosa Patterson in 2010 with a personal mandate to put together the best team of behavior technicians in the Los Angeles area. ABSI saw it as our duty to give their team members practical and “in the field” training, so that they would be prepared to support our clients across a multitude of situations.

40 Hours Paid Training

ABSI’s training curriculum process follows strict ABAT/RBT board requirements. For the convenience of our candidates, the training is set up to be completed online. As you make your way through the training modules, what you are studying will be merged with “in the field experience”.

Additionally, Behavior Technician candidates will overlap with other Behavior Technicians. This will provide you with the experience you need to work in the field with clients as well as clinicians. These clinicians will help guide you in the best practices of your ABAT role, and get you prepared to take on clients of your own.

Certification

Once your Behavior Technician training is complete you will be awarded a certificate from TBU FOR QABA. This organization is highly regarded in the field of neurosciences and their standards meet the requirements of the ABAT/RBT board.

Exam Support

Your first ABAT exam attempt will be covered by Autism Behavior Services, Inc.

Additionally, you will have clinicians and other ABATs to help answer questions and illuminate concepts should you need any assistance.

How much will I make as a behavior technician?

Paid Training – 40+ hours paid at the state or local municipality minimum wage

Travel time, continuing education trainings, and all other non clinical work – paid at the state or local municipality minimum wage

Mileage Pay – $0.55 per applicable mile

Clinical care – providing ABA treatment to the client – starting at $20 per hour

What are the job requirements of an ABAT?
All ABSI team member’s are certified as a Behavior Technician. Utilizing your robust training and “in the field” experiences, team members are prepared to the greatest extent possible to support the clients they serve. Our team members are never working in a vacuum. They will always have access to the clinical team and other Behavior Technicians to help answer any questions.
What are some environments a Behavior Technician might work in?
Behavior Technicians tend to work in (but are not limited to) the home, school, or in the client’s community.
