About us
Autism Behavior Services, Inc. (ABSI) was founded by Dr. Rosa Patterson in 2010 with a personal mandate to put together the best team of behavior technicians in the Los Angeles area. ABSI saw it as our duty to give their team members practical and “in the field” training, so that they would be prepared to support our clients across a multitude of situations.
To that end, Autism Behavior Services, Inc. hoped to create a culture where team members would see working with us as a chance to have a career. This is why our company continuously offers opportunities to advance into new and exciting roles as they present themselves.
In your role as a Behavior Technician with ABSI, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in the lives of the people you support. The encouragement you provide in the home, classroom, the community, or even in a telehealth capacity will allow you to witness firsthand the impact you have in the lives of others. ABSI seeks to give the families we serve an array of choices so that they can decide which environments suit their loved ones best.
Do you want to work for a company that provides a team environment and also has a genuine family feel? ABSI seeks to increase engagement among team members by hosting a number of company events throughout the year.
These events are always put together with team member input so that they can be engaging, and meet the interests of those attending. In fact, team members are encouraged to bring family members and loved ones to our company events.

40 Hours Paid Training
ABSI’s training curriculum process follows strict ABAT/RBT board requirements. For the convenience of our candidates, the training is set up to be completed online. As you make your way through the training modules, what you are studying will be merged with “in the field experience”.
Additionally, Behavior Technician candidates will overlap with other Behavior Technicians. This will provide you with the experience you need to work in the field with clients as well as clinicians. These clinicians will help guide you in the best practices of your ABAT role, and get you prepared to take on clients of your own.
Certification
Once your Behavior Technician training is complete you will be awarded a certificate from TBU FOR QABA. This organization is highly regarded in the field of neurosciences and their standards meet the requirements of the ABAT/RBT board.
Exam Support
Your first ABAT exam attempt will be covered by Autism Behavior Services, Inc.
Additionally, you will have clinicians and other ABATs to help answer questions and illuminate concepts should you need any assistance.
ABSI Offers Comprehensive Training
The training you receive from ABSI is right in line with ABAT/RBT board requirements. Our company seeks to make the training you receive a mix of hands-on experience working with clients, as well as practical, dynamic information (bolstered with CEUs) that will make you even more effective as you support people in the home, school, and the community.
